L'Ordre Bizarre is a pair of almost Siamese twins, born of the solid foundations of a twenty-year friendship built around a love of skateboarding, punk and bamboozling. Raniero (his instagram right here) takes his name from his Calabrian grandfather and Val L'Enclume (his instagram right here) from his ability to fall asleep under tables.

After an interminable adolescence of disappointing their parents and suffering disproportionate hair failures, they decided to deliver themselves from evil by transcribing their anxieties in deep black onto thick sheets of paper. Once they'd put their neuroses down on paper, the pair silk-screened their images, assembling them, cutting them up, coaxing them out and turning them into fanzines, posters and record sleeves.

Self-taught and fed on underground fanzines, Val l'Enclume and Raniero are guided by their thirst for discovery and their outrageous consumption of illustrated works of all kinds. Nothing inspires them more than a good American B-movie or a wild concert in an unsanitary cellar. They hide an ocean of love and humanity behind the ultra-violent images they conjure up in the cold tobacco smells of their Metz studio while gorging themselves on sunflower seeds.

L'Ordre Bizarre is a laboratory, a silkscreen workshop and a publishing house all rolled into one. These guys have only one motto: "You have to do it, if it's beautiful, all the better".
