A vampire speaks.

Far from the glamour of American films and series, far from the clichés of garlic, stakes and crucifixes, she tells her memories. But her memory isn’t always there. Her memory fails her. Her memory is full of gaps. But she tells the story. She remembers her encounter with the barrier man, the man who turned her around. She tells of the sunspots on the walls of her childhood bedroom. She reveals the night and the unsuspected social life that went with it.

She tells of the night and the memory of the day.

But is she really a vampire? Is the story she wants to tell herself/us just an excuse to escape what is really happening? And who is this musician who is insidiously diverting her attention?

Une vampire au soleil is the unstable, meandering story of a woman in thrall, risking exposure and irreparable burns.
