ANIMA, questions the notion of self-confidence through the masculine and feminine, gender, binarity, the freedom to seize codes and symbols with risk and brilliance to drive a new era. It explores the discovery of identity and the sometimes confused and complex path of a teenager who discovers his singularity. The disagreement that can exist between their body, their desires, their image and their deepest feelings. The young generation is questioning the notion of gender and the non-binarities between men and women. ANIMA puts these bodies in question on stage, between manga aesthetics, non-genre figures and live music. We are living in a real revolution where everyone is becoming more and more free to be autonomous with their gender identity and to free themselves from feminine or masculine codes.
A means, also, of questioning the social injunctions linked to each gender and asking us about the different possibilities of liberation.
