The concert opens with Johannes Brahms's captivating Violin Concerto in D major, featuring the brilliant soloist Antje Weithaas. The orchestra then presents Joseph Haydn's Symphony No. 6 in D major, known as Le matin. Immerse yourself in Haydn's evocative world of sound, which paints a striking musical portrait of dawn. The concert concludes with the overture to Gioachino Rossini's opera L'Italiana in Algeri. Rossini's vibrant, energetic composition imbues the aria with infectious rhythms and melodic splendour.
