Born in Puerto Rico, multi-instrumentalist Pachy Garcia was nurtured on grunge, metal and electro before studying at the Universidad Intermericana and taking an interest in jazz and Jamaican reggae-dub classics.
When he's not singing and playing drums with synth-punk band Prettiest Eyes, the Californian by adoption is reviving Caribbean productions from another era under the name Pachyman. Two years after paying tribute to old-school Rub-A-Dub records on his tropical voyage 'the return of Pachyman', the artist returned to his Los Angeles home studio and set himself the challenge of propelling his own dub production, blended with reggae, indie rock, Brazilian jazz and folk, into a new dimension.
