Nature is whispering. The forest is in full bloom. One funny bird, twig after twig, builds a nest not just for himself, but to receive, give birth to, nurture and finally let fly. The other ”funny bird”, frail and groping, ventures out, stumbles, sketches, tames his fears, under the protective encouragement of his eldest, invested with the right to pass on his knowledge. Over the course of the seasons, voices, gestures and instruments intermingle, responding and calling out to one another in a chirp of bird calls, a cacophony of percussion and bamboo, or a flight of harp. Drôles d’Oizo is a poetic blend of music, song and object theater.
